Dear Neighbor,
Have you been sticking to your New Year’s resolutions? While eating healthier has been at the top of my list, the recent influx of local Girl Scouts selling cookies in the neighborhood has made that resolution nearly impossible to keep! Despite its impact on my waistline, the Girl Scouts is one of many great local organizations that serves our youth and helps to broaden the horizons and imaginations of young minds in the community.
LMU can help serve the young people of this community in the same way. Whether it’s visiting an exhibit at our library, enjoying a classical music performance, or even checking out student posters in our new science building, there is something on campus which is bound to spark the curiosity of any young child.
This edition of our Community Newsletter highlights a number of the exciting “happenings” on campus that we would like to encourage all families to consider. To give you a sneak peak, there is an extraordinary multi-disciplined exhibit on display at the Laband Art Gallery, a dynamic Guitar Festival just around the corner, and several opportunities for kids and families to get involved making the world a better place.
