Although the majority of LMU students have spent the past several months working, travelling, or volunteering in different parts of the country, the LMU campus has continued to bustle with activity this summer thanks to a number of conference groups and youth camps. Did you know that LMU hosted forty-five groups this season? That included the operation of the Special Olympics Welcome Center, where about 8,500 athletes and delegations from around the globe were welcomed to Los Angeles at Gersten Pavilion.
When students return to campus during move-in weekend (Aug 28-30), there will be even more exciting events and activities on campus that are open to everyone. One great way to learn about these fun campus happenings is to join us for our 2nd Annual Community Open House on September 12th. Come enjoy lunch on our beautiful campus while learning about about a myriad of campus resources that are available to you. This is a really great community event that will feature kid-friendly activities, an expo of community organizations and LMU departments, student performances, and tours that include our brand new Life Sciences Building.
We hope to see you there! In the meantime, warm wishes to you for the final days of summer.
Sincerely,
Grace Yao
