LMU and West Los Angeles College Sign Transfer Admissions Pact for New Business Pathway

Loyola Marymount University and West Los Angeles College signed an agreement that create a new pathway for students to receive guaranteed admission to LMU’s College of Business Administration after meeting specific GPA and unit requirements.

The LMU-WLAC Business Scholars Program provides a new path for West students wishing to pursue a bachelor’s degree in business administration from LMU. It builds on LMU’s existing transfer admissions pact with the nine-campus Los Angeles Community College District – which includes West Los Angeles College – and furthers the university’s commitment to making an LMU education accessible to community college students, and to helping them succeed.

Approximately 20% of LMU’s undergraduate student population are transfer students, most of who are from community colleges. While the university has transfer admissions agreements in place with districts representing 25 community colleges, the Business Scholars Program is a first. Business scholars will receive personalized counseling support and also have access to LMU facilities and activities, including career expos, workshops and coaches, athletics events and more.

The partnership represents both institutions’ commitment to supporting Los Angeles area students achieve their full potential as scholars, innovators, problem solvers and leaders.
