It’s time to tune up that old clarinet and brush up on your music theory. All local musicians are encouraged to participate in the band’s first rehearsal of the season.
The LMU Community Concert Band is comprised of students, faculty and community members seeking to keep their love of band music, orchestration, and performance alive.
While the concert band is not formally associated with LMU’s Department of Music, it receives support of the Dean of the College of Communication & Fine Arts as well as the LMU Family of Schools. This year, the band will perform several concerts in LMU’s Murphy Recital Hall.
Requirements
Any community member with a passion for music is welcome to join. The group can help find instruments for musicians who don’t have them.
Rehearsals
The concert band rehearses on Thursdays from 8:00 – 10:00pm in the band room at Wright Middle School. The first rehearsal is Thursday, September 1st.
